Overview:


On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the seamless functioning of our large-scale property with significant foot traffic. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage various facets of operations including retail, food services, maintenance, staff, and more. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a proven track record in efficiently managing operations in high-traffic settings such as museums, stadiums, or similar venues.


Responsibilities:

  • Overall Operations Management: Lead and supervise all aspects of property operations to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning.
  • Retail Management: Oversee retail operations including inventory management, merchandising, sales strategies, and customer service to optimize revenue and enhance visitor experience.
  • Food Service Management: Coordinate food service operations including vendor management, menu planning, quality control, and compliance with health and safety regulations to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Service Coordination: Manage various service providers such as cleaners, security personnel, and other contractors to maintain cleanliness, safety, and security standards throughout the property.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensure timely and effective maintenance of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure a comfortable environment for visitors and staff.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of staff members across different departments to uphold standards of excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for all operational areas, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and service standards are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, licenses, permits, and industry standards to ensure compliance and mitigate operational risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and revenue generation opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance overall operations and visitor experience.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably in high-traffic settings such as museums, stadiums, theme parks, or similar venues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, vendors, and visitors at all levels.
  • Proficiency in budget management, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in operations management, facility management, or related field is a plus.
