We are seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager with experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

  • Assist in managing warehouse operations and staff.
  • Measures, monitors, and tracks performance for continuous improvement in capacity (output), safety, productivity, and error-free execution of all processes. Records and tracks performance data and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Helps create and track individual performance KPI’s.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborates with Director Human Resources in all staffing, disciplinary and employee issues
  • Communicates the status of warehouse operations including plans, problems, concerns and changes to Warehouse Manager, Operations Director, and senior management as requested.
  • Solicits continuous feedback from staff
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provides training, coaching, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and revising warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient and consistent warehouse operations.
  • Ensures compliance with all Wilmar corporate policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A Bachelors’ degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years appropriate warehouse and/or operations management experience, at least one of which must be in a managing position with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees.
  • Ability to effectively present information to employees.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
