Activities Assistant for Memory Care Assisted Living Community at Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs

Weekend Hours Required: Saturday & Sunday 8a-4p


We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at our Memory Care Assisted Living Community. As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents with memory impairments.


Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement daily activities for residents with memory impairments

- Encourage resident participation in activities and events

- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents during activities

- Assist with set up and clean-up of activities

- Document resident participation and behavior during activities

- Communicate with other staff members regarding resident needs and preferences


Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Experience working with individuals with memory impairments preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
