Principal AI&T Engineer - Lead
LeoStella is a state-of-the-art small satellite design and manufacturing company based in the Seattle area. At LeoStella, we are redefining how high-quality satellite constellations are built at scale. Our focus is on developing and using intelligent and agile engineering and manufacturing processes to accelerate the development and production of small-sat constellations, all while lowering costs and increasing on-orbit capabilities.

The work we do at LeoStella is helping organizations and markets change the world by removing the barriers to building satellite constellations. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high performing team focused on changing the paradigm in satellite development and production

Position Description:

As a Principal AI&T Engineer, you will create and execute assembly, integration, and test plans for flight hardware that drives mission execution and success. We’re looking for an experienced, creative, and energetic technical lead who enjoys working very closely with software and hardware in an agile and dynamic environment where schedules are critical.

You’ll be responsible for leading assembly, integration and test across LeoStella’s next-generation satellite products and their subsystems. You’ll work with both internal and external customers to ensure tests are thorough and meet all requirements. You’ll collaborate with aerospace system and hardware engineers to help specify requirements and provide feedback to design engineers for test/design for manufacturing (DFT/DFM).

To be successful in this position, you will need to be passionate about delivering exceptional products that meet or exceed requirements and enable new capabilities for satellite performance. This passion will fuel your drive to push tasks to ultimate completion. You will also need to enjoy working in a collaborative, hands-on environment and work daily with engineers from multiple disciplines – systems, electrical, etc. You must be eager to receive and give peer feedback that enables our high performing team to be greater than the sum of its parts.

This is an on-site position in Tukwila, WA.
