Orbital Engineering is seeking a skilled Primavera (P6) Turnaround Scheduler to help support a large Chemical Manufacturer in the Geismar, LA area. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, monitoring, and controlling the schedules. This is a full-time, temporary assignment for approximately 54 weeks. (No benefits)

Main Responsibilities:

1. Schedule Development:
   • Develop comprehensive turnaround schedule using the Critical Path Method in Primavera P6
   • Collaborate with project managers and planners to create accurate and detailed schedules.
   • Import activity plans from SAP
   • Import outside contractor schedules
   • Import and merge Large capital project schedules
2. Resource-Loaded Schedules:
   • Monitor and update resource-loaded schedules ensuring alignment with project requirements.
   • Evaluate resource allocation, perform critical path analysis, and identify potential bottlenecks.
3. Performance Tracking:
   • Regularly update schedules with the latest performance data.
   • Ensure accuracy by incorporating real-time changes and adjustments.
4. Reporting and Communication:
   • Provide timely updates to the Turnaround Superintendent regarding schedule progress.
   • Generate data for reporting purposes, including performance trends and deviations.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with project managers, execution team, and other stakeholders to gather, input and validate schedules.
   • Seek feedback and adjust schedules as needed based on Turnaround dynamics.
6. Flexibility and Adaptability:
   • Being prepared to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
   • Utilizing new technologies (STO – Shutdown, Turnaround, Outage Manager)

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in creating schedules using Primavera P6
• 4+ years of experience using SAP for importing activity plans
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex schedules.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
