Description:

We are seeking a motivated Structural Packaging Engineer to join a leading corrugated packaging company near the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. This pivotal role involves designing packaging structures for a variety of materials, including structured films, folding cartons, and industrial films such as shrink, polyolefin, and stretch bundling. If you have experience with 3D CAD, a strong understanding of materials, and expertise in packaging design and printing processes, apply now to make an impact

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate innovative packaging designs that meet customer requirements and production feasibility.
  • Utilize knowledge of printing equipment and processes to optimize packaging artwork.
  • Manage various art-related projects for inter-company management.
  • Maintain accurate records and specifications documentation.
  • Adhere to project timelines, potentially requiring overtime.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
  • Experience in packaging design, particularly with industrial films like shrink, polyolefin, and stretch bundling.
  • Knowledge of materials, machine processes, printing processes, and shipping procedures (trucking, FedEx, Air, overseas).
  • Experience with structural design, especially in the corrugated industry (box packaging).
  • Strong communication skills with customers and sales staff.
  • Familiarity with equipment design and capabilities to optimize operation efficiency, product layouts, and quality specifications.
