Overview: As a seasoned Commercial Construction Foreman with 5+ years of experience, you will ensure safety, efficiency, and superior quality of construction projects. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of carpenters and laborers on-site. Provide direction, support, and technical expertise to ensure efficient workflow and quality craftsmanship.
  • Carpentry Expertise: Utilize advanced carpentry skills to perform and oversee complex tasks such as structural modifications, interior build-outs, installation of architectural elements, and custom millwork.
  • Client Relations: Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders. Provide timely reports to management and stakeholders on project status, challenges, and resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Skills: Expertise in advanced carpentry techniques, including metal stud framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, millwork installation, and specialty finishes.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project goals. Experience in supervising and coordinating subcontractors and construction crews.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving challenges on-site. Ability to anticipate issues, implement effective solutions, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and project teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of commercial building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in commercial electrical and plumbing systems, including basic installation and troubleshooting.
  • Certification or training in construction management, project management, or related fields.
