The Company

  • Arthrex Grand Rapids is a BRAND NEW distributor (Currently being ran out of Chicago) representing Arthrex, the most innovative company in the entire orthopedic space when it comes to cadaveric, hands-on training. At just over 40 employees, they are headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Aside from offering medical education and instructional courses at our state-of-the-art training facility, we are committed to representing and promoting the Arthrex brand through collaborative relationships with our Surgeons and Sales Representatives.

About The Role

  • As a Medical Education Manager for Arthrex, your primary responsibility will be to manage and supervise the educational, technical, and clinical training on Arthrex products and surgical techniques to all Arthrex Grand Rapids employees. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and proctoring training labs for Surgeons and Healthcare providers in the safe and effective use of Arthrex products.

Our Medical Education Manager Is Responsible for...

  • Provide Medical Education training programs on the safe and effective use of Arthrex products and procedures for Arthrex Grand Rapids Employees, Surgeons, and Healthcare Professionals.
  • Oversee and proctor Medical Education Training labs for Arthrex Grand Rapids Employees, Surgeons, and Healthcare Professionals.
  • Develop, teach, and instruct training and educational programs for all Arthrex Grand Rapids Employees on products and surgical techniques associated with Arthrex products.
  • Manage online learning educational management system assuring 100% compliance by employees.
  • Aid coordinating travel for HCP's & representatives, coordinating meals for lab events, record keeping, etc.
  • Participate in continuing education on all Arthrex surgical products and procedures with the intent of training all Arthrex Grand Rapids Employees, Surgeons and Healthcare Professionals on these products and procedures.
  • Identify specific Medical Education training activities to assist the Sales Team in achieving and exceeding product sales initiatives.
  • Ability to delegate and communicate the goals and objectives of the organization pertaining to Medical Education. Develop winning strategies and willingness to think outside the box.
  • Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships, and by developing and implementing sales, sales management. and educational strategies.
  • Primary Liaison between Arthrex Corporate Medical Education and Arthrex Grand Rapids.
  • Support compliance and the principles of responsibility (AdvaMed) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting non-compliance; and adhering to applicable federal, state & local laws and regulations, accreditation & licenser requirements, and Company policies & procedures.
  • Participate in and attend sales meetings, surgical trainings, field ride alongs, and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.

What Does It Take

  • 1-3 years of Clinical Training
  • Experience as an athletic trainer, physician assistant, surgical scrub tech, or nurse is a plus.
  • Preferably 2+ years of Orthopedic Industry knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to follow up in a timely manner.
