As a Palliative Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive palliative services in compliance with the state Nurse Practice Act.

Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.


Territory: We are looking to fill roles in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties.

As a Palliative Nurse Practitioner, you will:

  • Complement attending physician care
  • Perform face-to-face visits as needed
  • Evaluate palliative eligibility as assigned in consultation with the independence interdisciplinary team
  • Assure that the patient receives appropriate measures to control uncomfortable situations
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Must have current licensure in State
  • Muse maintain controlled substances registration with state and federal authorities, if applicable
  • Must be able to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others and maintain commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement
  • Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have a criminal background check
  • Must have a current CPR certification


Job Conditions:

  • Must have a driver's license and be willing and able to drive to patient's residences
  • Position requires deadlines and timelines required by governing and regulatory organizations
  • Requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts
  • The ability to access patients' homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible is required. Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform and demonstrate patient care
  • Physical activities will include walking, sitting, stooping, and standing and minimal to maximum lifting of patients and turning of patients


*This position is paid at a competitive hourly rate with the opportunity to earn extra money by picking up visits at our Per Diem rate*
