Job DescriptionJob Description

Burma Love San Francisco is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Asian cuisine, a creative flair for menu development, and the ability to inspire and mentor a team of culinary professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee kitchen operations and staff.

  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and food safety.

  • Manage inventory and order supplies. Monitor budget and COGs

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve BOH operating procedures.

  • Train, and develop new hires.

  • Supervise food prep and cooking.

  • Assist in creating menu and pricing in collaboration with the GM.

  • Be obsessed about maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years previous experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant

  • Asian cuisine background is highly preferred. Possess strong knowledge of Southeast Asian cuisine and cooking techniques.

  • Previous wok experience preferred.

  • Hands on experience with planning menus and pricing.

  • Understanding of restaurant financials + working knowledge of spreadsheets.
