NATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Trades Generalist performs journeyman work in one trade, and skilled and semi-skilled level work in several other trades. Work with other tradesman in maintenance, repair, monitoring of HVAC systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, HVAC equipment. Knowledge of servicing walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines is a plus. Other duties as assigned. You must pass competencies for this position.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Four years of fulltime experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.
When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Applicants with experience in Plumbing and HVAC are strongly encouraged to apply.
