Are you an experienced Diesel Mechanic looking for a flexible part-time opportunity? Adventure Tours, a leading Motor Coach company, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our Philadelphia team. This role offers set hours, with the potential for additional work depending on company needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently, following written instructions and established procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services on motor coaches.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
  • Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs; requisition new parts as needed.
  • Complete repairs within specified timeframes.
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
  • Use company fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
  • Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical certification or training in diesel mechanics, heavy-duty vehicle maintenance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, preferably with motor coaches or similar vehicles.

Compensation based on experience


Note: While our Philadelphia location does not currently have a dedicated facility, initial inspections and repairs will involve lighter tasks that can be completed without a traditional shop environment.
