Beautician/Hair Dresser

As a Beautician, you are contracted in by English Meadows where you are able to set your own hours and rates.

The Beautician is responsible for providing various beauty services to the community's residents in a safe and secure environment. The service would be anything from hair shampooing, hair cuts, manicures, and other advanced creative hairstyling.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of Assisted Living

• Has awareness and practices in accordance with the regulations of the state.

• Observe and communicate any changes in the resident physical or mental condition to the administrator

• Always refers Resident medical questions to the Nursing Staff, and communicates appropriately and clearly to the Nursing Staff

• Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment.

• Wears name tag at all times.

• Maintains a schedule set by the Administrator and keeps records of treatments and services

• Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, team members, and visitors.

• Disinfects all tools used between Residents and at the end of the day.

• Responsible for answering and responding to door alarms as needed.

• Knows and follows Emergency Procedures, Elopement, and all other procedures.

• Performs all other duties assigned by the Administrator

• Must attend and complete all assigned training to meet DSS regulations

• Responsible for keeping resident information confidential; respecting resident rights; and respecting privacy.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must obtain a current license as a Cosmetologist, Barber, or Beautician

• Must provide a high level of customer service

• Must have a working knowledge of sanitization standards for the beauty industry

• Must meet requirements imposed by the licensing authorities
