We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting customers as they arrive, seating them appropriately, and providing them with menus. The Host/Hostess will work closely with the waitstaff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.


Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all individuals.
  • Welcome customers as they arrive and seat them appropriately.
  • Provide menus and answer any initial questions about the restaurant's offerings.
  • Manage the flow of customers and ensure timely seating.
  • Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure prompt and attentive service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
  • Handle phone inquiries and reservations.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by the management team.

Requirements:
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Server Certification as a pre-requisite to being extended a job offer.
  • Must successfully pass Title 31 training within 90 days of employment.
  • Highschool diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.


If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.
