Weekend Anchor/Multimedia Journalist


Job Summary:

WICZ-TV, the Fox affiliate in Binghamton, New York, is seeking a full-time weekend anchor/MMJ.


Position Profile:

  • Who does the position report to? News Director
  • What are the key responsibilities of the role? Anchor and produce the 10 PM weekend news; three days a week multimedia reporting

Job Duties:

  • Produce and anchor the weekend 10 p.m. news
  • Oversee and motivate your weekend crew to produce great content
  • Go live for the 6 and 10 p.m. weekday news
  • Shoot, write and edit news stories
  • Research and enterprise local news stories
  • Write, shoot and edit reporter packages and vo/sots
  • Write stories for the website and social media
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a reporter, anchor and producer at a college television station strongly preferred, or previous experience as an associate producer/writer in a commercial TV station
  • Experience using Ross Inception strongly preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro and LiveU preferred.
  • Strong and engaging news writing
  • Energetic delivery and relatable presence
  • Deadline driven

SALARY: $19.50/Hour + Sign on Bonus
