POSITION SUMMARY:

The Alfond Youth and Community Center earns hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants per year. We have over 400 youth that we serve in our afterschool program and over 10,000 members who utilize our facility. Many of the programs we run are funded by grants. We are looking for someone to help lead our small but mighty grants team as our Grant Manager This person will help write grants and oversee it throughout its' life cycle. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement a systematic approach to acquiring and maintaining grant sources to support the program operations of the AYCC.
  • Responsible for the full life cycle of the grant management process including: research, writing, editing, proof-reading, budget preparation, coordination of contract documents and renewals, evaluation and reporting of all grant initiatives (working with Finance and program staff), and ensuring the integrity of grant dollars.
  • Ensure that grant goals are met by writing grant applications and managing all aspects of grant awards.
  • Complete grant application requirements on a regular basis and meet goals in acquiring grant awards.
  • Determine priority needs for the organization with support from the Director of Philanthropy & Government Relations and other relevant staff.
  • Research appropriate grant opportunities for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and Finance to develop and finalize grant budgets.
  • Develop methodology and implementation plan to track program data, including outcomes.
  • Maintain integrity of grant awards by ensuring that grant requirements are met.
  • Work with Program Directors/Managers to ensure that program reports are clear, concise, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Research, identify, and develop relationships with major foundations, corporations, and other sources of funds.
  • Develop and execute a short- and long-term grant plan and strategy.
  • Assist with the development of and maintain public relations, promoting and stimulating membership within the Clubs.
  • Assist with any Alfond Youth & Community Center special events or programs; in particular, major donor events such as the Annual Appeal, and other fundraisers.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior grant writing and/or grants management experience is preferred.
  • Prior team management strongly preferred

WORK SCEHDULE: Full-time Monday – Friday. Some weekend or evenings may be required.
