About the Role:
Gen3 seeks a talented Internal Controls Specialist to play a key role in supporting our client's internal controls and compliance efforts. You will work closely with our team to assess and improve internal controls, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Location: Remote, US.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct internal control assessments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
  • Perform risk assessments and identify mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on internal control compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on internal control matters.
  • Stay up to date on relevant internal control standards and regulations.
What You'll Need:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal controls, risk management, and federal compliance.
  • Deep understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and compliance standards.

What's Desired to Have:
 
  • Previous experience supporting federal or state agencies, Department of Labor (DOL), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), Office of Personnel Management (OPM)is highly desired. 
  • CGFM, CIA, or CPA certification.

Employment Eligibility: Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Most of our positions require a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder for consideration. Certain positions require at least three (3) of the past five (5) years of residence in the United States.

Other Requirements:

  • A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory.
  • Candidates must possess either an active green card or citizenship.
  • Prospective employees offered a position must have work authorization that does not necessitate employer-sponsored visa sponsorship, both presently and in the future.
  • Those selected for this role may undergo a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility criteria for accessing classified information or be eligible for security clearances.
