Job Duties
- Assist in the Installation Fire Alarm Systems and Components including panels, power supplies, initiating, notification, and/or interface devices.
- Ability to install conduit, junction boxes, and run necessary wire to support system components.
- Read and interpret fire alarm drawings and other construction drawings and documents.
- Identify conflicts and field changes and report changes back to project management team.
Qualifications
- Ability to listen to instructions and follow the directions of the Lead Foreman.
- Must enroll in the WBFAA Apprentice Program (company pays for schooling).
- Have reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with hand tools.
- Ability to work at various heights up to 60 feet and cand climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. Additionally, this position requires the ability to be able to walk, climb, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Ability to lift at least 60lbs for an extended period of time.
Compensation: $20/hour
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
