Job DescriptionJob Description**Summary:**
We are in search of a passionate and skilled Kickboxing Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for kickboxing and fitness, coupled with the ability to effectively teach and motivate both children (age 5 and above) and adults in a group class environment. As a Kickboxing Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering engaging and dynamic kickboxing sessions tailored to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of our participants.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

1. **Teach Group Exercise Classes:** Conduct scheduled kickboxing classes, offering modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels and ensuring a safe and effective workout experience for all participants.

2. **Safety and Exercise Modification:** Demonstrate understanding of contraindicated exercises and provide appropriate modifications to ensure participant safety and maximize workout effectiveness.

3. **Maintain Certification:** Hold a current industry certification in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

4. **Class Preparation:** Arrive punctually to allow for proper setup, ensuring classes start and end on time. Maintain cleanliness of the workout area before and after each class.

5. **Equipment Management:** Report any equipment needs or issues promptly to the supervisor following class, ensuring a well-equipped and functional workout environment.

6. **Attendance Tracking:** Record participant attendance numbers after each kickboxing class, maintaining accurate records for administrative purposes.

7. **Professionalism and Reliability:** Demonstrate accountability to the class schedule by minimizing absences and proactively seeking substitute instructors when necessary.

8. **Engagement and Experience:** Foster a fun and engaging atmosphere during classes, encouraging participant involvement and enjoyment.

9. **Contribution to Goals:** Work collaboratively towards achieving departmental and organizational fitness goals.

10. **Flexibility:** Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate center hours and fluctuating work schedules as needed.

11. **Additional Responsibilities:** Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.

**Qualifications:**

- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid group exercise instructor certification required, preferably from an NCCA accredited program.
- Specialty certification in kickboxing or related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in group class instruction, with a diverse background in teaching various styles, levels, and populations preferred.
- CPR/AED certification required at time of hire.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to working with members and participants.
- Ability to multitask, maintain composure, and uphold a professional demeanor in a dynamic environment.
