CNC Machine Operator

Join our team as a CNC Machine Operator at our facility located in Pecatonica, IL, 61063. We are looking for a skilled individual with experience in operating CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) and CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) machines, as well as proficiency in blueprint reading. Our facility primarily uses Mazak machines, so familiarity with this brand is a plus.

What you’ll be doing:

• Review work orders and related paperwork to plan CNC equipment setups, pull machine tools as specified and insert in tool holders.
• Select, load and test program, modify program and make necessary machine feed, speed and axis point adjustments.
• Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures, make machine control settings, run first piece sample parts, check for required specifications and run job.
• Monitor machine operation and check parts throughout run and make necessary adjustments to ensure part specification and quality standards are maintained.
• Replace, reset and sharpen tools when necessary.
• Troubleshoot problems, respond to alarm, retrace program to locate problem and make necessary corrections.

What we’re looking for:

• Must be able to read blueprints, and use measuring equipment
• Previous experience as a CNC operator is a plus
• Working knowledge of most machine shop equipment and Machine Shop Math.
