Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the quality assurance and compliance programs within Shalom House. This role is critical to ensuring that all services meet the established standards and regulations while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of programs and services to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with program directors, managers, and staff to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and coordinate quality assurance training for staff to promote best practices in service delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for enhancement in care and service quality.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to quality assurance is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and reviews.
  • Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and standards and update policies and procedures accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, quality assurance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in quality assurance management needed, including a high level of organization. Experience and knowledge of compliance with MaineCare regulations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the healthcare or social services industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
