Senior Project Manager


This position must be onsite at the Geneoscopy office in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Senior Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters by performing the following duties personally or through project team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently manage projects of any type, including those that require experience with IVDs, 21 CFR Part 820, CGMP manufacturing, cGLP product development and commercialization, and software development and implementation.
  • Develop project proposals or plans to determine the timeframe, budget, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases.
  • Develop project milestones and deliverables; prepare reports that summarize key progress. And issues on development programs across departments and divisions, including preparation of background documents and presentations to senior management.
  • Guide teams through the effective development, management approval, and execution of strategic plans for assigned projects; this includes ensuring risk management plans are fully developed, contracts are agreed upon, and adhered to change control procedures are followed when significant program deviations are encountered, communications within and external to the team are effective, duties and responsibilities, and scopes of authority are properly assigned, and approved team resources are appropriately planned and managed.
  • Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure they progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
  • Ensure project data are accurately reported in databases and understood by project team members, including information used to derive costs, schedules, resources, and other data pertinent to creating and managing project plans.
  • Ensure that team meetings have structure and clear purposes and goals; facilitate and drive meetings effectively; and communicate decisions and action items to team members and relevant parties outside the team. Monitor team dynamics regularly to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Take action to correct problems within a team stemming from miscommunication, differences of opinion, misaligned objectives, inexperience, etc. Resolve conflicts and issues within teams.
  • Monitor processes and ensure that those responsible are informed of their effectiveness; advocate for and contribute to the success of change or process improvements when warranted.
  • Establish good networks with various employees, as appropriate for the given project, to assist with implementing change management plans.
  • Provide mentoring and technical oversight to specialists working on joint projects.
  • Assist personnel with investigating and problem-solving issues.
  • Assist with selecting and negotiating all activities regarding external consultants or vendors.
  • Perform work under minimal supervision, navigating complex issues and problems.
  • Exemplify comprehensive working knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess 6+ years of project management experience.
    Exemplify strong communication, documentation, organization, and time management skills.
    Demonstrate the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
    Possess an understanding of design quality standards.
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.

SCHEDULE
This is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary range: annually determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Bonus: discretionary annual bonus based on a percentage of the employee's base salary
