AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA has an opening for a 2nd shift Warehouse Utility Handler. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced, and reliable individual looking to build a career with a fast-growing company, while working alongside an engaged and committed team. Our second shift team works four days a week, Monday – Thursday 2:00 PM to Midnight. Overtime is often available at the start of the shift during periods of peak production. This is a full-time, hourly position with full benefits and no direct reports.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate operation of a stand-up industrial lift to select, stage, and transport a consistent flow of components through the entire production life-cycle process. As part of a small team, you must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of safety. It also requires a mindset to accurately track, account for, and maintain production inventory and supplies.

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, individuals for the 2nd Shift Warehouse Utility Handler position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three or more years’ work experience in a warehousing, logistics, inventory management or similar role.

Although not all inclusive, some additional job responsibilities and skills include:

  • Ability to Safely operate and maintain a powered industrial forklift (Narrow Reach/Sit Down/Electric Pallet Jack); prefer stand-up/narrow reach experience.
  • The Accurate and efficient pick, count, and transport of components related to the production process.
  • Capacity to arrange and participate in setting up production cells as necessary to support daily manufacturing objectives.
  • Ensure production areas are fully stocked and have the continuous products needed to fulfill and ship orders.
  • Act as a key support liaison to production team as needed, performing tasks as required to assist in the production life-cycle process.
  • Complete and report on various inventory management functions as directed.
  • Take ownership of the quality and integrity of components and finished goods.
  • Maintain a high degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Complete and record daily and weekly pre/post shift forklift inspection checklist. Timely report all incidents and need for required maintenance.
  • Able to receive and maintain forklift certification and perform daily required inspections per OSHA and Company standards.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Company and OSHA standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with previous experience operating forklifts.
  • Sound math and analytical skills with the ability to make decisions, notice errors, and perform basic calculations such as add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Comprehend English language with the ability to communicate through reading, speaking and writing.
  • Basic computer skills required to input data, print/track orders, and perform numerous tasks related to the production and shipping process.
  • Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping required records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner with the ability to perform task through to completion.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season.
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment working environment.
  • Participate and pass all Company forklift training per OSHA mandate once every year.
  • Attend Job training related to production for professional growth
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as required.
  • Valid Driver’s license
