Position Summary:

· The Campus Production Manager will be responsible for providing Production support for various church events, including Sunday services, midweek, and special events that take place at the campus. They are dedicated to creating immersive and meaningful experiences that facilitate encounters with Jesus through their work in Production.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversees Production Volunteer Team and the technical execution of Sunday services and events; operates as the Production Manager during services and events.

· Cultivates a safe and welcoming community for the Campus Production team and Worship community.

· Establishes an ongoing plan of recruitment, training, and supervising of staff and volunteers to support Sundays and major events at the campus.

· Operates, maintains, and safeguards the technical assets of the sanctuary.

· Establishes system planning & policy, as needed.

· Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and guests, as needed.

· Manages scenic/staging/production design for special projects throughout the year.

· Assists in maintaining and setting technical budgets for special projects.

· Assists in ensuring continuity and unity across multisite campuses in regard to audio/lighting/video, as needed.

· Establishes maintenance strategy for all audio, visual, and lighting needs, in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.

· Assists and manages the building of the Audio/Video/Lighting (A/V/L) teams through mentorship planning, workshops/training, and “team-building” time together.

· Tracks and compiles reports each month to manage yearly goals for the campus.

· Keeps all Production areas in order and clean/presentable, including stage, storage, amp room (BOH), and Front-of-House (FOH).

· Receives Sunday assets from the Point Loma campus and collaborates with the Campus Pastor on the execution of Sunday services.

· Supports Central Production for large-scale events, staff meetings, or other events, when assigned.


LIGHTING:

• Manages and designs lighting look for Sunday services and midweek events.

• Maintains the operation of lighting equipment.

• Responsible for stage design throughout the year.

• Responsible for recruitment/training of team members for these positions.

• Responsible for maintaining all A/V/L for auxiliary rooms of the campus.


AUDIO:

• Programs Sunday services and midweek events.

• Responsible for stage setup/look and input placement for instruments.

• Maintains Backline equipment and properly stores unused items.

• Sets room standards for dB levels and quality of sound.

• Responsible for maintaining all A/V/L for auxiliary rooms of the campus.


VIDEO:

• Responsible for receiving Sunday and midweek event assets from Point Loma Producer and Media/MarComm.

• Responsible for creating and managing all ProPresenter content (i.e.: lyrics, backgrounds, and videos on campus).

• Maintains storage and function of Streaming recorder.

• Responsible for maintenance of projectors (i.e.: lamp changes, filter cleaning)

• Responsible for maintaining all A/V/L for auxiliary rooms of the campus.

The Campus Production Manager reports directly to the Central Production Director.

Education, Training, and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline or equivalent experience or certification is preferred but not required.

Minimum of two years of audio and video production experience, three years preferred.

Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:

  • Contributing Member of Rock Church or willing to become one.
  • Demonstrate Christ-centered behavior at all times by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
  • Utilize the principles of Matthew 18 and Ephesians 4:15 to resolve differences of opinion with others.
  • Successful completion of thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which include: social security verification, Local, State & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
  • Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
  • Member of the Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to the Rock Church).
  • Regular involvement in Rock Church activities, ministries, and events.
  • Tithe 10% to the Rock Church.
  • Signed acknowledgment of the Rock’s Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rock’s policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
