Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the RF Engineering Technician position at EZ Form is a great opportunity to immediately step into the business as a significant contributor and leader, with ample room for career development and growth.

The RF Engineering Technician position entails working in the Engineering Department performing a range of tasks utilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and multiple types of cable manufacturing machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create 1:1 bent cable drawings from customer-supplied designs.
  • Design and draw plate fixtures in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for 3D printing.
  • Program and setup of manufacturing machinery for operators.
  • Input BOM's and operations into Epicor.
  • Maintain Epicor product changes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
  • Organize, standardize, and maintain tooling for production.
  • Assist in creating ECN's and performing CAD updates of drawings.
  • Assist/Initialize in creating Engineering reports.
  • Work to become the "Go to" person for resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Assist in training employees on termination of cables and connector assembly.
  • Creation of manufacturing standards and SOP's.
  • Assist in factory layouts, helping to resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Work with outside vendors on new RFQ's for connectors and tooling.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Prior manufacturing experience with cable assemblies.
  • Experience with CAD and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with 3D printing.
  • Experience bending semi-rigid cable.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of RF Connector interface styles and assembly techniques
  • Advanced math skills for calculating cable loss, velocity, phase etc.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
  • Must be able to perform assembly techniques in order to make modifications, reworks and assemblies.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware and documents which are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be able to comply with the requirements of ITAR and other U.S. export control laws.

Education

  • Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering degree preferred, not required

Salary Range: $25.00 - $33.00
