Children's Land of Lincolnshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our daycare team. Located in the heart of Lincolnshire, our daycare is committed to providing a nurturing and educational environment. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teachers and ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of our young learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor playtime, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Support daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and toileting, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting open communication and collaboration.
  • Observe children's behavior and development, documenting their progress and communicating any concerns to lead teachers or supervisors.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons and activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate and stimulating.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Adhere to daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, licensing standards, and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
  • Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact warmly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow directions from lead teachers and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the daycare and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Successful completion of background checks and clearances required by state regulations.
