MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR

Job Summary:
To support and assist the process of mortgage lending for the Credit Union's members, staff, and third parties. 

Salary: $19.50-$27.00 Per Hour/DOE
Location: 971 W Wetmore Road

Daily Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and deliver all required member disclosures per compliance requirements.
• Communicate directly with applicants and provide details and requirements necessary to proceed with their loan application.
• Identify potential risk concerns with the loan file. 
• Collect and review supporting documents required, as needed, to process the loan application.
• Calculate gross monthly income utilizing submitted documentation.
• Ensure timely receipt and proper completion of all loan documents per compliance requirements.
• Organize documentation in established file order for underwriter review.
• Order third-party services and documents as needed.
• Conduct timely review of documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow-up on any outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Prioritize workload to manage high volume of loan files. 
• Track active loan files and clear underwriter conditions to meet expected closing date.
• Complete regulatory compliance function in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide regular loan file status updates to Mortgage Loan Originators. 
• Prepare and deliver member notification and internal forms for decline/withdrawn applications.
• Perform file maintenance within the XP2 custom data fields.
• Cross train within the department to provide back-up coverage as needed.
• Assist department manager with projects and assigned tasks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Six months or more of similar or related experience.
  •  Equivalent to a high school education.
