Payroll Clerk is an entry level position and a foot in the door to your forever workplace.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handles all issues and correspondence in a professional manner and helps to answer questions the client may have.
  • Assist Payroll Specialist with completing payroll needs for client portfolio
  • Assists the Payroll Specialist in resolving issues including payroll or tax issues and notices.
  • Ensures accuracy in completing clients' payrolls including wages, deductions, and payroll notes.
  • Completes payrolls in a timely manner.
  • Assists other team members when your tasks are completed.
  • Takes responsibility for errors and reports them to supervisor.
  • Assists the Administrative Team to ensure office equipment is prepared and performing properly.
  • Responsible for the Scheduling Report/Call Report/Unprocessed Report. This ensures all payrolls have been closed timely. Notifies the Specialist that pulls the ACH files.
  • Assists the Tax Team with the 941 & 940.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the courier service manifest & managing the packaging.
  • Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
  • Updating payroll records by entering changes to employee information or benefits, such as, job title changes, exemptions, and deductions
  • Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages
  • Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and a calculating employer's payments for social security, unemployment, and worker's compensation
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
  • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
  • Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees and employers
