As we continue to expand our footprint, we are seeking a skilled Traveling Layout Technician to join our team and drive excellence in construction layout operations.


Job Description:

As a Robotic Layout Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our construction layout operations, utilizing advanced technologies such as Hilti Total Station, Dusty Robotics, and HP Site Print. You will be responsible for traveling to various construction sites throughout the United States and overseeing the setup, operation, and maintenance of our robotic layout system. Your expertise will ensure precise and efficient layout execution, contributing to the success of construction projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to construction sites nationwide to deploy and operate layout robot systems.
    • Company vehicle will be provided along with company paid lodging and per diem
  • Utilize Dusty Robotics technologies to conduct precise layout tasks according to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of layout plans.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on layout robot systems to maximize efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to site personnel on the use of layout technologies and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of layout activities, including as-built drawings and project reports.
  • Uphold safety protocols and adhere to industry standards during all layout operations.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in construction layout operations, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in operating any Total Station system,
  • Experience with Dusty Robotics or HP Site Print a plus.
  • Understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and layout principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • A willingness to travel extensively and work on various construction sites up to 80% of time
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
