Painter

Job Summary: Preparation, priming and finish coat painting of steel components and assemblies of material handling equipment and components using high volume low pressure (HVLP) and air assisted electrostatic spray equipment. Assist assembly personnel in final assembly of pneumatic components and assemblies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Proficient with the use and operation of paint equipment, air and airless sprayers.

Understands specific paint requirements for paint application, storage and disposal.

Ensure all paint materials being used are in compliance with customer specifications.

Ability to prep surfaces for painting and apply a neat, even finish.

Assist in the handle, Store, Package, Preserve and Load materials in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.

Operate forklift as required to move material.

Perform preventive maintenance as required on booth and paint guns.

Maintain inventory of required paint supplies and consumables.

Maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness.

Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
