Assesses and prioritizes patient care needs. Performs and delegates nursing interventions. Assigns available staff to best meet the needs of the patients. Communicates effectively with providers to inform them of changing patient needs, receives and implements new orders. In the absence of administration serves as administrative authority and clinical coordinator to all services related to the care of patients, activities of staff and control of environment in the living center for a tour of duty. Experience preferred.

  • Must be licensed with the MS State Board of Nursing
  • Must have BLS
  • Must have ACLS
  • Position: Full Time; Health, Dental + Vision Insurance; 401(A); PTO/STO; Short Term/Long Term Insurance
Nurse Manager duties and responsibilities
  • Create goals and objectives for their department or facility and make sure they are met by the staff
  • Communicate with staff and department heads
  • Keep and organize records of the particular facility
  • Recruit and train nurses and other health professionals
  • Create work schedules for nurses
  • Ensure the facility they work in is compliant with current laws
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients
  • Solve any problems patients might have at the facility
