**Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Create purchase orders for various products, including hotel, food, beverage, IT, marketing, and casino supplies.- Maintain procurement records and inventory; assist with periodic physical inventory counts.- Expedite the delivery of goods, items, and services.- Manage tasks in the company’s purchasing system, such as maintaining the item master, creating purchase orders, and placing orders with vendors.- Contact suppliers to place orders; ensure that quality, quantity, and delivery deadlines are met.- Gather information to qualify vendors and establish credit/accounts.- Follow purchasing procedures that meet company standards.- Perform various tasks within the department, such as answering phones, typing letters, contracts, and memos, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.- Serve as a liaison between the purchasing department and other departments.- Ensure the procurement system is used effectively, maintain control of vendor and item master data, create new item numbers, and ensure compliance with all company vendor licensing requirements. Act as the primary liaison with the Company Vendor Certification Manager.- Perform other duties as assigned.
