Commercial Hvac Technician

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with heavy commercial HVAC systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in large commercial buildings, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to effectively install and repair HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and parts used.
• Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients about system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements in HVAC technology, and safety regulations to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in HVAC preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on heavy commercial systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, VAV systems, and control systems.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures.
