POSITION: Stockroom Clerk STATUS: Non-Exempt (hourly)
REPORTS TO: Materials Supervisor DATE: 7/12/24
DIRECT REPORTS: None LOCATION: Bonner, MT
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and moving material throughout the stockroom and various locations within the plant that are managed by the stockroom.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Duties:
Pulls/replenish parts, raw materials, and other production related items. Delivers to appropriate areas as required
Performs physical and or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, kits, and equipment.
Check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods in inventory computer module.
Examines, stocks, inventories, and distributes materials to the production floor.
Prepares kitting packages as needed.
Resolves issues regarding packing lists and purchase orders and properly records discrepancies.
Rearranges, locates, and organizes materials as needed.
Relieves stock shortages and manages min and max stock quantities.
Periodically performs schedules cycle counts and updates records, as necessary.
Pulls parts and materials for parts orders.
Properly record transactions and mark/identify material/product
Support high emphasis on safe materials storage practices
Cross-train, and provide necessary support for stockroom practices
Recommend improvements to gain efficiency in materials movement, inventory accuracy and material storage.
All other stockroom related tasks as directed.
Responsibilities/Measurements:
Material handling caused shortages, damage, root cause/corrective action
Inventory accuracy in controlled warehouses and line locations
Turnaround time for parts and materials request.
Stockroom inventory accuracy.
A/P match exceptions reconciliation ratios
Knowledge, Mental Effort, Communication Requirements:
A positive attitude & pleasant personality
Ability to accurately work with inventory systems and tools, MS-Office
Effective memory skills
Dependability, familiarity with Inventory Systems, tools and practices, MS-Office tools
Experience with warehouse and materials flow in fast-paced, highly customize factory
Experience with receiving materials and associated inventory transactions
Ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn
Ability to communicate issues verbally and in written form
Above average memory, taking into consideration the amount of responsibility and product value
Normal verbal, non-verbal and written communication
High school level general math skills, (High School Diploma or higher education preferred)
Forklift training and certification may be required
Driver’s license required for operating company vehicles
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to accurately receive and issue stockroom materials and enter the inventory module
Must be able to lift 10 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Accurate data entry skills
Excellent organizational skills.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: This job operates in an office environment and is largely sedentary. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines as well as cameras and graphic design equipment.
