Are you a MMA, UFC, and Boxing fan with a history of editorial work in sports publishing?

GIVEMESPORT.COM is looking for a Combat Sports Editor to cover our MMA, UFC, and Boxing content for the website.

GIVEMESPORT is one of the world’s largest independent sports media publishers. It covers news, features, and interviews across a broad range of sports, from football and MMA to the NFL and NBA, catering its content to a global audience of more than 30 million fans each and every month.

We pride ourselves on delivering not just the scores, but the stories behind them. Our team of dedicated writers and contributors is committed to providing insightful commentary, thought-provoking analysis, and in-depth features that go beyond the surface of the game.

Expectations:

  • Contributing to the creation pipeline for combat sports content (news and features) by writing and editing articles on a daily basis
  • Fielding and generating compelling ideas from and for a small writing team (contributing to daily ideation meetings)
  • Providing feedback to writers 
  • Ensuring deadlines are met by you and the team
  • Collaborating with the Leads to ensure stable operation and achievement of targets
  • Optimizing content to maximize sessions on Google Search and Facebook, including the creation of high-quality social media posts
  •  Availability to regularly work at evenings and weekends in order to cover major events


What we're looking for:

  • In-depth knowledge and deep passion for the MMA, UFC, and Boxing
  • Strong knowledge of Google Search ideation and optimisation
  • Hard-working, results-driven, and able to react quickly
  • Experience creating Facebook posts with high engagement and clickthrough rate
  • Able to create bespoke images on Photoshop (a plus)
  • Broad knowledge of other sports  (a plus)
