Job Summary:
The Specialty Clinic Manager will practice or offer to practice, including delegated nursing activities, only within the scope permitted by law and within the licensee's own educational preparation and competencies. The Manager is under the supervision of the Director of Professional Services. When implementing new or unfamiliar clinical related or nursing related activities, the manager responsible for notifying the Director of Professional Services and will seek appropriate clinical input, guidance, direction and approval from qualified individuals such as the Chief Nursing Office and Clinic Medical Director prior to implementation of such activities.
The Specialty Clinic Nurse Manager job description is inclusive of the job description for Specialty Clinic LPN and Medical Assistant in addition to the responsibilities outlined in the full job description.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school
Licensure (credentials): Current active Illinois professional license as practical nurse or registered nurse
Training:
- Current AED/CPR certification as healthcare provider,
- New hires will be trained in all clinical areas with experienced staff for a period of six (6) weeks. Within three (3) months of employment, employee must demonstrate knowledge, competency, and proficiency in performing the duties of this position as outlined in the job summary and tasks in full job description. Ongoing training including but not limited to review of all policies, procedures, and o protocols pertinent to nursing responsibilities and clinic routines.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a licensed nurse
- Clinic or hospital experience preferred, M
- Management experience in healthcare related field preferred.
- Experience in insurance pre-authorizations preferred.
Requirements:
- Excellent Communication skills; in person and writing.
- 100% on-site work.
- Vaccinations per IDPH, CDC, CMS.
- Frequent standing, walking and sitting up to 90% of shift.
- Lifting up to 35# max independently
