JOB OPPORTUNITY: CAD Drafter - Detailer


We are working for a growing Commercial Interior Glazer in North Atlanta and seeking a dynamic full-time CAD Drafter - Detailer. We are seeking a personable, dedicated, and highly motivated individual to provide support to the Project Management Team. As a CAD drafter-detailer, you will be responsible for drafting shop drawings and detailed material orders.


Responsibilities:

- Set up shop drawings and material orders using AutoCAD.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of drafting standards to enhance efficiency.

- Collaborate with our field team to accurately layout drawings based on field measurements.

- Assist Project Managers in meeting deadlines by adjusting details and drawings as required.

- Gain industry knowledge through research and experience to make informed decisions on job components and details.

- Organize and archive past projects, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.

- Take on special projects as assigned.


Qualifications:

- 3+ years of CAD experience; construction/estimating experience is a plus.

- Technical, Associate, or Bachelors degree preferred.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask accurately.

- Self-starter who takes initiative and works well both independently and in a team environment.

- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Innate desire to produce high-quality work and earn respect.

- Desire to be part of a collaborative team and contribute to its success.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic Microsoft Office Suite skills.

-Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software is a plus.
