Position Title: Service Dispatcher

Department: Service

Reports to: Service Manager

The Service Dispatcher Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $16.00. Commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of service department hours sold ranging from $0 (if no sales are made) with out any upper limit.

Position Summary: The Service Dispatcher is primarily responsible for data entry and paperwork necessary to process and complete all repair orders. Working closely with technical and other Service Department personnel with a positive and productive attitude.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Dispatches and tracks all repair orders given to service technicians.
  • Books/flags repair orders.
  • Checks job status as often as necessary to ensure repairs are completed by promised times.
  • Ensure technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures.
  • Review paperwork turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been performed and that the repair order has been completed.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled.
  • Other related duties as needed.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair orders and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:

Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
