DARCARS Automotive Group is now hiring Collision Center Mechanical Technicians

As a Collision Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for repairing damaged bodies of vehicles, and or, parts in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Tech will work closely with estimators and assist in damage assessment to vehicles upon arrival
  • Certified in both 134A and 1234YF, tech will evacuate systems prior to tearing down and recharge after the vehicle is built
  • Suspension and steering repairs and alignments
  • Dash and headliner replacements
  • All vehicles with any impacts to wheels will have an initial alignment check for suspension damage prior to an estimate being locked with printed specs
  • Electrical repairs
  • Engine and drivetrain R&I's
  • Full frame replacement
  • Pre and post scanning of all vehicles going through the shop
  • Recalibrations
  • Air bags and seatbelt replacements
  • Wiring harness repairs and replacements
  • Diagnostics of damaged vehicles, both electrical and mechanical
  • Pressure testing and bleeding cooling systems
  • Differential overhauls
  • Braking systems diagnostics and repairs
  • Tech will assess and correct any drive ability issues with all vehicles

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous automotive technician experience
  • Certified in both 134A and 1234YF 
  • CSI and Quality scores above regional average preferred
  • Must be proficient in all vehicle maintenance services
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks
  • Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background)
