What's your day like?As an Associate Teacher at The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting the Early Childhood Program under the guidance of the Site Supervisor. Your responsibilities will involve assisting in classroom operations to ensure compliance with regulations and policies while supervising staff members. By engaging in the development and implementation of the Early Childhood Development and Health Services program, you will contribute to providing quality childcare, parent/child experiences, parenting education, and family support services.
Your involvement in creating developmentally and culturally appropriate experiences for children, involving parents in goal setting, and participating in home visits and conferences will help nurture the growth and well-being of both children and families.
What you need to be successfulTo excel in the role of Associate Teacher at The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc., candidates should possess a minimum of 12 ECE units, including core courses, demonstrating a strong foundation in early childhood education. Experience working with young children is essential, while holding a Preventative Health & Safety Certificate and CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred. A valid California Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage are required for this position, as travel may be necessary. Additionally, candidates must undergo a physical examination, provide proof of a current negative TB test, be immunized for measles and pertussis, and have a current influenza shot to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and families we serve.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- 12 ECE units
- including core courses
- Some experience working with young children
