The Certified Surgical Technologist reports to the Nursing Lead. The Certified Surgical Technologist is an integral part of the OR team and works under the supervision of the registered nurse and surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective management of surgical procedures by possessing expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. The Certified Surgical Technologist has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon while having the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintenance of the sterile field.
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years as a Surgical Tech, preferably in Orthopedics
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of course in surgical technology from an accredited program or equivalent years of experience as a Surgical Tech.
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
