Service Technician


$28.00-$40.00


Travel within 2 hour radius.


A market leader in the industrial and life science compressed air and vacuum systems in the Northeast is looking for a Service Technician to join their growing team The Service Technician will travel to customer sites for to perform maintenance and repairs on company equipment.


The Service Technician will be responsible for

Supporting the sales staff in servicing company equipment

Installing new equipment at customer sites

Working outside on and have clear vision as well as the ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and climb and work on ladders and scaffolding

Performing preventive annual and semiannual maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and service of equipment for customers at the customer site

Carefully and accurately documenting all service performed on the equipment as well as what service needs are to be accomplished on the equipment in the future

Maintaining excellent customer service and customer satisfaction

Preparing timesheets, service reports and installation forms, timely and accurately

Accurately tracking expenses and completing expense reports in a timely manner

Communicating with customers to troubleshoot their needs

Ability to work overtime as required by workload and customer necessity

Other duties as assigned by management


The Service Technician will be rewarded with:

The Service Technician will excel with:

Will have a High School Diploma or equivalent

2-4 years experience in field

Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Critical thinking skills

Preference for compressed air

Valid License and Good Driving record

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Proficient in reading and comprehending technical information as presented in equipment manuals or in electronic media

Ability to accurately document technical data in terms of the steps taken to resolve equipment and product issues

Ability to communicate technical issues as well as the steps taken to resolve those issues with the company corporate office

Proven customer service skills with a primary focus on customer relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision

Resourceful; able to discern who to call for assistance based on the technical situation at hand

Must have excellent time management skills

Ability to work alone with own tools, but company can furnish


Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
