Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua, Wisconsin is looking for an inspiring and passionate General Surgeon to join its collaborative and innovative surgery team. As a General Surgeon in a reputable critical access hospital and trauma program, opportunities to influence the future of rural healthcare while building meaningful and long-lasting relationships with patients, families, and the community are truly endless. Our collaborative and team-based clinic environment is focused on high-quality, patient-centered care, in support of an award-winning critical access hospital.

  • Four state-of-the-art surgical suites, supporting orthopedic, GI, and general surgery practices
  • 25-bed critical access hospital
  • Calming and therapeutic environment with a friendly and responsive care team
  • Fully renovated 11-bed emergency room and urgent care with private patient rooms
  • Innovative technology with Epic (v.2018) EMR
  • Active outpatient practice, including procedures in rural health clinics
  • Shared general surgery call at 1:3 ratio
