Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary:The HSE Trainer will be responsible for the day-to-day safety training needs of the company.
Primary Job Function:
- Work with HSE Specialists and Operations team to train new hires and administer annual refresher courses.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Generate and distribute training reports monthly or as needed.
- Maintain detailed record keeping (electronic and hard copy).
- Coordinate with OQ & Training Manager for the scheduling and administration of employee training.
- Assist with Safety Training topics and organization.
- Assist Director-OQ & Training on HSE department related issues.
- Other duties as needed.
- Previous training experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in pipeline industry or related facilities or construction preferred.
- HSE related experience preferred.
- Highschool diploma.
- Bi-lingual.
- Strong computer abilities with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- First Aid, CPR, OSHA 500 certification preferred.

- Analyzes problems and makes sounds decisions in a timely manner based on Strike’s HSE standards.
- Utilizes organizational skills with good attention to detail and emphasis on quality.
- Ability to speak in front of groups (upwards of 20-20 people.
- Displays good written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
- Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel, vendors and medical professionals.
- Physical demands require ability to endure frequent physical activity, work long days and handle outdoor elements including a variety of weather conditions.
- Regularly required to sit, talk and hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to grasp.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Up to 75% travel required.
- Complies with Strike’s policies and procedures.
- Complies with Strike’s Drug & Alcohol Policy maintaining favorable drug testing results throughout employment.
- Performs job safely with respect to others, property and individual safety.
- Works effectively with others to encourage teamwork and productivity.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
