We practice intergenerational childcare and are located on Episcopal Homes' campus. Children regularly engage in activities and learning opportunities with Elders in our community
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A TEACHER FLOAT
As a Teacher Float at Kinder Village, get ready for an exciting adventure every day You'll have the opportunity to support lead teachers, engage with children in various activities, and assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment. From helping with arts and crafts to outdoor play, no two days are the same.

Pay and Schedule:
Starting from $18.50 - $19.50. Experience Compensated
Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 5:30pm

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise children while keeping them safe at all times
- Engage in activities and play that stimulates their development
- Assist children with activities of daily life (diapering/restroom use/dressing/eating)
- Assist teachers in other day-to-day needs
- Keep Daily Connect updated.
- Approach parents daily and speak with them about their child
General Expectations:
- Will work by the NAEYC Code of Ethics
- Will supervise children while keeping them safe at all times
- Will comply with state, school, and class rules and regulations.
- Will promote feelings of security and trust in all children at Kinder Village.
- Will report suspicions of child abuse and neglect according to state law and agency procedure.
Teacher Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Education options:
- associate degree- with 4,160 hours as assistant teacher
- child development certification- 1,560 hours as assistant teacher, aide, or student intern
- Bachelor's Degree- 1,040 hours as assistant teacher, aide, or student intern
- Submit to various background checks including those completed through the DHS.
- Complete a Tuberculosis test through Episcopal Homes
