Job description

Restaurant Assistant

The Restaurant Assistant provides assistance and service to restaurant guests, over the phone and in person. The Restaurant Assistant ensures accurate and efficient processing of guest orders and requests; proactively addresses customer concerns and maintains working knowledge of the restaurant.

The work is performed at the Zephyrus Restaurant, a casual dining establishment located inside an active senior community in Clearwater, FL. The position is overseen by the Dining Room Manager with the overall direction of the Property Manager.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Answers phone for general inquiries

Takes accurate delivery and to-go orders via phone

Maintains knowledge of menu items and pricing

Enters orders into applicable systems

Provides accurate wait times

Maintains up-to-date status information regarding restaurant operations

Provides proactive customer service

Assist Dining Room Manager with administrative tasks as assigned

Addresses requests and complaints with customer service in mind; escalates issues as appropriate

Maintains daily cleanliness of work area and supplies appropriately

Accompanies guests to their table

Assist with to-go orders

Perform special projects as assigned
