We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Relations Manager who is located in San Diego County to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations strategies that build brand awareness, enhance our reputation, and drive positive media coverage across traditional and digital channels for Ignite Visibility. Must reside in San Diego County.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic public relations plans aligned with Ignite Visibility’s overall business objectives.
  • Prospect and vet media lists to conduct extensive traditional and online outreach.
  • SEO Link building.
  • Manage media relations, including pitching stories, securing placements in relevant media outlets, and building strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
  • Oversee the development and execution of social media campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, brand sentiment, and online reputation.
  • Report  monthly KPIs for traditional and online media coverage.
  • Manage and support internal communications initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on emerging PR opportunities.
  • Contribute to crisis communication planning and execution when applicable
  • Manage a budget for PR activities and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in public relations, with a strong track record of success in both traditional and digital PR.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns across traditional and outline.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and link building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • In-depth knowledge of the current media landscape, including social media platforms and trends.
  • Proficient in relevant PR tools and technologies (Pitchbox, HARO, Muck Rack, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Results driven.
