Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:The PC Technician role in Plymouth, MA is a crucial position within our organization responsible for facilitating the upgrade to Windows 11. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth transition to the new operating system, maintaining hardware functionality, and providing exceptional technical support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing Windows 11 upgrades on desktops and laptops.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Providing technical support across the organization.
  • Ensuring the security and privacy of data.
  • Training staff on new technologies and software applications.
  • Documenting IT procedures and inventory.
  • Collaborating with team members and other departments.
  • Responding to IT support requests in a timely manner.
  • Testing new technology solutions.
  • Identifying and suggesting possible improvements on procedures.
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Performing regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated.
  • Assisting in the setup of new equipment and processes.
  • Managing and monitoring internal assets.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a PC Technician or relevant position.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, especially Windows 11.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues.
  • Experience in hardware installation and configuration.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Certification in relevant software and hardware.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours if necessary.
