Lab Tech/WT:


- Familiarity with pH/neutralization titrations (requires the ability to differentiate subtle color changes consistently)

- Mathematically competent

- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment (pH meter, analytical balance, spectrophotometer, colorimeter, thermometers, burets, pipets, etc…)

- Ability to read and follow procedural documents

- Good record keeping skills

- Good communication skills (ability to communicate with all levels of employees)

- Monitor and maintaining key WT parameters on an hourly basis

- Overall, mechanically inclined

- Ability to prepare laboratory reagents

- Inspection of accumulation area and enforcement of labeling requirements

- Willing to perform manual labor including moving a 55-gallon drum with a drum dolly and capable of lifting 50 lbs. occasionally.

- Comfortable working with chemical hazards

- Good close-up vision (with or without corrective lenses)


Academic:


- Science Degreed (Chemistry, Physics, Biology etc…) or Lab/WT Experience

- Strong computer skills (working knowledge in the following: Excel, Word, Access, etc…)

- Strong familiarity with chemical terminology

- Understands chemical hazards and knowing how to work around large volumes safely.

- Ability to modify work schedule on an as needed basis for coverage

- Ability to work with the stress associated with a production environment.

- Willingness to ask questions and understand personal limitations in an effort to resolve issues quickly and promote professional growth.

- Ability and willingness to use a respirator (half or full faced with filter cartridges).
