Role Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Assistant Showroom Manager. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, possessing strong leadership skills to effectively manage showroom staff and operations. The Assistant Showroom Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving annual sales targets by selling a variety of products to diverse B2B and B2C clientele segments including gas grills, outdoor kitchen equipment and appliances, outdoor furnishing, and other products that enhance outdoor living lifestyles. While this role involves management responsibilities, the candidate will also be expected to engage in sales activities.

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising all aspects of sales associate effectiveness while overseeing sales, operations, and financial performance of the showroom.
  • Sets objectives and directs sales associates to maximize their potential.
  • Monitors daily sales goals and provides daily updates to the team in a morning huddle.
  • Prepares and controls the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditures and maximum efficiencies based on revenues.
  • Assists customers, both by appointment and walk-ins, utilizing suggestive sales techniques.
  • Staff recruitment, training, coaching, development, and scheduling.
  • Always set an example of excellence in product knowledge, internal systems, and customer interaction.
  • Works in partnership with Design Services team to create outdoor kitchen renderings.
  • Directs daily sales operations including returns, email, and follow up.
  • Updates merchandise displays and in-store signage in keeping with current promotions.
  • Facilitates problem solving/troubleshooting as needed.
  • Manages all escalated customer service issues as they occur.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes Showroom Events.
  • Manages opening and closing of showroom including management of cash drawer.
  • Oversee all systems and operational equipment.
  • Responsible for showroom inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and physical appearance of both indoor and outdoor showroom daily.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the showroom by adhering to legal, health and safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for all alarm/camera issues that occur at the showroom.
  • Effectively communicates with all applicable company personnel to ensure processes and results are understood from the order to the delivery and beyond.

Education and/or Experience:

  • One year in a retail management role.
  • Ability to work weekends and some holidays.
  • Applicable industry product and vendor knowledge is a plus.
  • Professional leader with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Some college/university experience preferred.
